Ingredients

  • 01.

    Wash & make gashes on chicken is using in-bone .

  • 02.

    For first marination - rub salt, red chilli powder & lemon juice on pcs.

  • 03.

    Marinate for 30 mins.

  • 04.

    For second marination - take hung curd, put all the spices in it with mustard oil & rub on chicken pcs.

  • 05.

    Marinate for 2-3 hours or overnight.

  • 06.

    To make curry base - in a pan take oil+butter, add whole spices & onions, tomatoes, cashews. add little water & cover cook for 15 mins. till tomatoes turns mushy. turn off the flame & let it cool.

    In a separate pan shallow fry chicken pcs on medium flame from both the sides.

  • 08.

    Now take the curry base & find fine in a grinder using some water.

  • 09.

    Sieve it to avoid any spice chunks.

  • 10.

    On a high flame boil curry adding salt, kashimiri red chilli powder, coriander powder & garam masala.

  • 11.

    Gradually add cooked chicken pcs. stir well. add kasoori methi.

  • 12.

    Cover & cook on low flame for 10 mins.

  • 13.

    Add coriander & cover. Butter Chicken is done.

  • 14.

    To give smoky flavour - burn a charcoal red hot on flame. place a bowl in curry. put hot coal in it & pour ghee on top. cove it instantly. leave it 10-15 mins.

  • 15.

    Open the lid & pour some cream on top. mix & serve.

  • 16.

    Smoky Butter Chicken is done :) serve hot with naan or any roti/bread.
