Yields: 4-5 people

Ingredients

  • 01.

    Mix warm water & milk. dissolve sugar in it.

  • 02.

    add yeast into it, mix & leave it for 10 mins.

  • 03.

    put oil & salt. give it a stir.

  • 04.

    now add maida & knead it for 10-15 mins.

  • 05.

    Gradually keep adding oil to make a smooth dough.

  • 06.

    Grease a big bowl & leave the dough in it to rise for 2 hrs.

  • 07.

    once the dough has risen, knead it again & divide it into equal portions.

  • 08.

    Roll it into a 2-3 mm thick sheet & fill it with jam/chocolate/Nutella, seal and make small balls.

  • 09.

    Cover & leave the bun balls for 30 more mins to rise.

  • 10.

    Brush some milk & sprinkle sesame seeds or tutti-frutti.

  • 11.

    Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 25-30 mins.

  • 12.

    Once it is baked & golden brown, brush some butter & cover it with a damp cloth. leave it for 15 mins.

  • 13.

    Jam buns are ready to serve.

  • 14.

    * To make Jam buns on the cooktop:-

    Place buns in a pan, and leave it to rise for 30 mins.

  • 16.

    Brush some milk & sprinkle sesame seeds.

  • 17.

    Put it in a pre-heat pan (pre-heat on low flame for 15 mins)

  • 18.

    Bake for 40-60 mins until buns get golden brown.

  • 19.

    once done, brush butter & cover it with a damp cloth.

  • 20.

    Jam Buns are ready on the cooktop :)
