Mishti Dahi | make Mishti Dahi with Sugar.

Ingredients

  • 01.

    Hang thick yogurt in a muslin cloth to remove excess water.

  • 02.

    Whisk it well to make the Jaman creamy.

  • 03.

    Boil milk.

  • 04.

    In a separate pan caramelize the sugar.

  • 05.

    Add hot milk to caramel & keep stirring. ( be very careful)

  • 06.

    Add milk powder & stir well.

  • 07.

    Once milk powder & caramel dissolve, turn off the flame & let it cool a bit.

  • 08.

    Sieve the caramelized milk & add curd (Jaman) into it.

  • 09.

    Transfer into a bowl & keep it in a warm place for 6 hrs.

  • 10.

    Once the curd is settled, put the bowl in the fridge, for better results.

  • 11.

    Mishti Dahi is ready to enjoy.

  • 12.

    *** Do not mix hot milk with hot jaggery syrup. Milk will get spoiled. Milk should be warm & Jaggery syrup should be at room temperature.
