Makhane ki kheer/ foxnut puding

Ingredients

  • 01.

    Take a pan & add ghee. Roast Makhana in it for 5-7 mins.

  • 02.

    Let it cool a bit & then grind it coarsely in a mortar pestle or grinder.

  • 03.

    Do not make powder of it.

  • 04.

    In other deep pan put milk to boil.

  • 05.

    Add grind Makhana in milk & stir it. Let it boil on low flame for 10-12 mins.

  • 06.

    Keep stirring so it does not stick to the bottom of pan & scrap the sides.

  • 07.

    Slowly milk will start thickening, add sugar & stir it continuously.

  • 08.

    Turn off the flame after 12-13 mins. Add cardamom powder, chiraunji & saffron.

  • 09.

    Garnish it with nuts & serve warm.

  • 10.

    It can be served as a warm pudding or if you like to have it chill then keep it in refrigerator.

  • 11.

    Enjoy it as a energy bowl while fasting or anytime when you carve for somthing sweet & healthy.
